| GETTING
TO BISHOP'S COVE LODGE |
|
Bishop's
Cove Lodge is sited on a coastal smallholding in a rural setting,
making it extremely private and tranquil with no other buildings visible
from the Lodge. Such exclusivity requires going off the beaten track,
with some gravel roads, farm roads and no less than three farm gates
to open and close. But when you reach your destination you will appreciate
the reward. It is recommended that visitors to Bishop's Cove Lodge
print the map with directions
before their departure.

Directions:
Exit the N2 at the Kareedouw/Eersterivier Exit 611 off-ramp
(about 150kms from Port Elizabeth and 95kms from Plettenberg
Bay) and drive towards the coast for about 500m. At the R102
T-junction turn left towards Humansdorp for just over 3kms
and then turn right onto the gravel road to Klipdrift.
Continue for 5,8kms and then turn right into the avenue of
pine trees. After
3,2kms take the left turn in front of the farm workers' cottages.
Continue for about 1km through farm land, passing small dams
on either side of the road. Just after the dams, take the
Bishop’s Cove turn-off.
This is the first of three farm gates which need to be opened
and closed to reach Bishop's Cove Lodge.
From here follow the signs for Bishop's Cove. Please note
that at one stage you will be crossing a private airfield
and caution is recommended.
